Description

After returning to Earth, the Polaris crew faces extensive de-briefings. Ainsworth is promoted to Lieutenant and Heimann is promoted to Lieutenant Commander. The Polaris is dispatched to the Southern border, far away from any Kzin territory. Once again, the crew's duty is planetary exploation.

Pretty sure they gladly accepted this. They needed the time for the mental wounds of what they saw at Tzenketh and had to do eventually to scar over and congeal up. In the backs of their minds though they are all asking themeselves: when are we going to have to disobey direct orders again to uphold the tenets we swore to uphold?
