OMG, this is beautiful! I am a fan...correction, OBSESSED fan of the Excelsior Class vessel. Even the ship I am designing is a redo of the Excelsior...imo, one of the the best looking ships in Trek!

Thank you very much! I like the excelsior too, she's the most graceful ship in all Trekdom!

Beautiful pic, but I'm still enamoured with the Sovereign Class. Great shot though, excellent piece! :)

This pic itself is stunning. Still, I have a minor suggestion. Try looking up something about photography, specifically the depth-of-field. I think most 3d modelling programs (at least 3DS did) should be able to emulate various lenses etc, so the shot looks more like photographed instead of just rendered. You know, different sharpness for different distance from the viewpoint...looks more real and sometimes helps hide minor quirks of the model (even the best models have parts that look odd compared to the real). And keep up the good work

Thank you for the suggestions. How could I set these settings or, actually, where, in Max?

You should post a camera (it's a kind of object in max) and then adjust its settings (lens, etc.) you should then change one of the four max view windows to display the camera instead of perspective.
