A Starship Polaris story

There she was, anchored onto the greyish-brown cage of an orbital drydock, her hull now darker and more grungy than it was before the maiden flight. Even though she was less than a year old, she was a war veteran. Nothing less could be expected from the name "Polaris".
David Metlesits looked at her from the warm inside of the shuttlecraft Strelka as the tinly shuttle flew toward her mothership. The Captain was alone, he was tired and felt decades older than he actually was. Given the days-long de-briefing sessions and the trials he was subjected to, this was no small wonder.

Jim Kirk sits on the toilet in star trek 5 while locked in the brig with McCoy and Spock. There is a little sign behind him that says "please do not lush while in spacedock" you have to look real close but it is there.

Toilet humor aside, i always enjoy your artwork Dave
