Hi, folks!

Those who know their TOS and know it well must also know that the Enterprise was labelled as "Starship class" on her original dedication plaque, although everybody knows that she's a proud member of the Constitution class.
I was informed many times that this is due to ships being classified by purpose in those times and what we know as "class" by now meant "subclass" back then. I tried to use my naval knowledge and fantasy to come up with a reasonable TOS classification system. Happy Trekking!

How'd you do this? I'm attempting something like it but for a post-TNG era poster. I can't figure out the color stuff. BTW, do you know anyone who can do a 3d model of my ship?

I did this with 3DS Max (for the ship), Photoshop, stock photos and time.

What kind of yhip do you have in mind?

Well it's one of my own design and I'm still finishing the actual design before I get to the details. It's a piece of 25th centuary vessel, so it has some of the STO era feel to it. It feels more sharper however and it's actually based on the orginal designs for my Paladin-class, hence why I call it the Paladin II-class.

That would be cool. Might be pretty tricky though, if photo manips are tough enough as it is... Unless you dug out ol' Poser or Carrara.... Might be a bit of work applying your face onto an M3 face map, but it'd save hassle in the long run. And you do have a certain sexy infiltrator cyborg model...

While I still think written fanfics might be easier, entertaining the notion of ways you could do a webcomic is pretty cool too...

I have Poser 8 now, I'm still trying to get it working, but as far as I know, it is capable of 3D-ifying using reference photos.
